September 16-19: SparkCon!

We have a lot of great events here in Raleigh, and one of the best is SparkCon. It includes just about everything related to art, and one of the goals of the Spark Community is supporting local and emerging artists.

This year, I'll take part in BazaarSpark for the second time. We'll be out in DTR (Downtown Raleigh) selling our wares on Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th. I'm also super excited about the FashionSpark fashion show, as several of my friends are participating!

I created this Etsy treasury to highlight some of the talented artists you can meet at this event!

Embroidery Find of the Week: Embroidery on WOOD

Embroidery on Wood, from Lisbon...

Check out these ridiculously cute necklaces from "TheSpotlessLoop". She's in Lisbon (Italy) and hand-embroiders WOOD for these pendants.

She hasn't sold anything on Etsy yet, but I definitely see that changing in the near future. In addition to the cupcake above, she also has a cookie and heart filigree style. She also does the crochet trim around the edges. Too cool!

This makes me want to embroider some wood!
